The 2012 Congress of Psychology Students in Ireland was held at Queen's University, Belfast on 23-24 March. Over 270 people attended from all over Ireland and beyond. Judging presentations and posters was very difficult with the judges commenting that the standard was extremely high - in fact they asked us if they could award a 'highly commended' place as well as first and second. After one and a half hours of deliberation, they decided on the following results:

Best Undergraduate Presentation: Louise Cooper (IADT)
Second Place: Alanna Donnelly (UCD)
Highly Commended: Lisa Fennelly (NUIM) & Aine Travers (TCD)

Best Undergraduate Poster: Ciara Madden (UCD)
Second Place: David Steyaert (IADT)
Highly Commended: Ian O'Dwyer (DBS)

Best Postgraduate Presentation: Francesca Farina (NUIM)
Second Place: Melis Ulug (QUB)
Highly Commended: Ronan Mills (OU)

Best Postgraduate Poster: Candice Condon (UL)
Second Place: Shula Castle-O'Dowd (IADT)

Very well done to all those who presented their work and helped to make this year's congress such a success. Keep your eyes peeled for news on the 2013 congress- the host will be announced in the autumn. If you would like to bring it to your institution, then speak to your local SAG rep.
